Savor a five-course meal at Cypress Creek Grill featuring Highland Brewing craft beers paired with succulent entrees from Executive Chef Bradley Chambers. Course one will feature deep fried panko-encrusted piquillo peppers stuffed with house pimento cheese and smoked bacon. Finished with green onions and drizzle of chipotle ranch paired with Highland’s Pilsner. We don’t know about you, but they had us at pimento cheese and smoked bacon. Yum! The dinner is from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18. Dinner guests will have the option of enjoying a five-course meal for $65 per person or ordering a la carte. This event will provide you with fun, laughter and libations. The proceeds from this event will benefit the Albemarle United Way. Bocce Ball – Four-person teams. Entry fee $100. Players can have fun playing and creative ways to fundraise. Advanced fundraising will boost teams to playoff rounds. Prizes awarded. Beer – Craft beers provided by Ghost Harbor Brewing will be available for all persons of age. Tickets will be sold in advance for $25 that include 2 drink tickets and a BBQ plate. Day of sales will be $30. Bites – Plates full of yummy BBQ pork or chicken will be provided by Currituck BBQ. The all-inclusive ticket for $25 will be best value, but $15 meal only (plus soda, tea, or water) tickets will be sold especially for the little ones. The best way to end a month-long celebration is with an Alleyway Brew Ha-Ha! – it’s just fun to say. This first-time event was created to honor our brick alleyway activation projects, specifically the recently renovated Pailin’s Alleyway. Now you might be asking what is a Brew Ha-Ha? It’s a one-part pub crawl and one-part scavenger hunt with absurd challenges that must be completed in 2.5 hours. This event will take you through different downtown businesses and alleyways. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the pub crawl. Join us for fun on Saturday, April 28 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm starting at Ghost Harbor Brewing Company.
